About this class

A class for those who love organic forms and leaves. Seasonally appropriate, students will explore both forged and repoussed leaves starting with a simple vine leaf and working up to an acanthus leaf. The leaf forms we will explore are ginkgo, maple, grape, oak, and paw paw, in addition to those above. Also, students will be challenged to bring actual examples of leaves they’ve found that we will then render in steel. This is a beginning level course, with room to challenge more experienced students. Shop safety, fire management, and proper hammer techniques will be covered in this class. Additionally, training on and use of a plasma cutter will also be featured.

Please Note: A parent, guardian or responsible adult must be on site for students under 18 years of age for the duration of the class. Adults accompanying minors do not have to take the class, but they are welcome to if they wish.
